The 6.5 gallon Pro Hunter II Hanging Feeder is built with hunters in mind who want to feed nuisance-free where bear, pigs and raccoons live. The 6.5 gallon metal hopper holds and keeps up to 40 pounds of corn dry and ready to dispense. The Pro Hunter II Feeder Kit has a new look and improved function with an adjustable internal funnel that eliminates the need for additional assembly and helps feed flow freely into spinner plate. The easy set programmable digital timer allows you to set up to 10 daily feed times from 1-60 seconds long each. The Pro Hunter II operates for months on a 6V 5ah rechargeable battery (sold separately). This feeder kit includes the Quick-Lock adapter for easy twist-on, twist-off installation.
Feed Recommendations
- Feed should be around .25 inches in diameter or smaller on its longest side. Whole, clean kernal corn is recommended. Corn mixed well with soybeans or protein pellets can be effective; however, mixing could cause clogging depending on the ratio of corn to the additive or type/brand of the additive
- Do not use protein pellets alone, as they will absorb moisture and swell, causing the feeder to clog. For protein pellet feeding, we recommend using one of our polymer gravity feeders.
- Do not use mineral powders or feed containing mineral powders, as they can cause corrosion of metal parts
- For feeding with blends containing protein pellets and mineral powders, we recommend using one of our polymer gravity feeders
